He enlisted in the US Army right after graduating from high school. He was selected to be a scout at each of his units and later becoming a squad leader for the scout platoon. After being honorably discharged he obtained a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration - E-Commerce from DeVry University, IL and MBA in Marketing & Human Resources – Training & Development from Keller Graduate School of Management, IL.

He has been certified as a Firearms Instructor through USCCA and Colorado 4-H Shooting Sports. He teaches several different classes for both Adults and Kids this includes Concealed Carry & Home Defense Fundamentals, Women's Handgun & Self Defense Fundamentals, Emergency First Aid Fundamentals and much more...

On Monday and Thursday Nights he coaches Rifle and Pistol for Otero County 4-H Shooting Sports. Teaching kids about firearm safety and other aspects of firearms.
